I'm at my dad's place at the moment which is nice. It's good to be out of the corridor for a few days. I'm a little pissed off with my neighbours. Some of them anyway. Our landlord has threatened to send a cleaning lady which we have to pay for just because some people aren't capable of cleaning up after themselves. I can just guess that hiring a cleaning lady isn't very cheap and I don't really feel like paying for it just because these certain people aren't taking responsibility over something as simple as cleaning.

Other than that things are good, I'm working on my exam which is due in next week.

It's 21 days left until I move to Dark Side. ^^ I can't wait =)

Don't have much else to say really.

Drop a comment if you feel like it. =)

The dog keeps barking.
Some idiot decided to play an instrument at 3am last night.
I'm tired of neighbours unable to clean after themselves in the kitchen.
I'm counting down to the Dark Side

35 days to go....
21st-Feb-2009 10:57 pm - Essaying on a Saturday

It is true.
It's a saturday night and I'm currently writing the synopsis for my essay so that I can start writing the real thing tomorrow. It's rather difficult actually, cos the synopsis has to be around 3 pages and the first page has to be what the essay is about, the method and what sources I'm using and the second page has to be a more thoroughly written outline for each chapter of the essay. It will probably take me another two hours or so to get it done if I do it properly. But it's worth it. Other than that I've had a friend over earlier today and we've watched Kenny Starfighter, this really nostalgic swedish kids show which aired in the late 90s. It's about this useless dimwitted galaxy "hero" named Kenny Starfighter from the planet Mylta who travels to Earth to capture the evil Dr. Deo. Probably the only sci-fi show sweden has eve made. It's hilarious.
Then I've been watching a studio ghibli film called "Tales from Earthsea". A really beautiful film about a prince named Arren who runs away from home and meets the wizard Sparrowhawk and goes with him on his journeys to find out what's wrong with the land because everything is in unbalance. There's dragons, evil wizards and adventure and lots of magic in it. I've only watched half but I'm gonn watch the rest soon. So far I really recommend it though, if you like japanese animes.

Other than that I don't have anything else interesting to say. I'll update when I have something more interesting to say.

New promise

I'm gonna stop worrying about everything and take things as they happen. But I suppose that's how it is when you're looking forward to something, you worry that it might not happen.

As said,

Gonna take everything as it comes

15th-Feb-2009 06:31 pm - the truth is out there

"They're here aren't they?"

"Mr. Mulder, they've been here for a very long time."

I've just downloaded  the first season of the X-Files. I've never watched it properly, just a few episodes every now and then again and I thought it'd be nice to watch the first season. I can tell you that it is sooo good. I've just seen the first three episodes and I can really understand that it ran for nine years. Even for being made in the early 90s it really is such a well made show. The americans aren't all bad. Anyway, this weekend's been fun. Yesterday I was visiting two friends and table roleplayed. It was fun and completely insane, sort of complicated too it takes a while to get used to the system. Other than that I haven't done much. I'm going to spend the next few hours in front of the computer and then probably sleep early (if i'll be able to sleep considering the creepyness of the x-files). I got home at half 3 in the morning so I'm a little tired. I don't think anything exciting is gonna happen this coming week so I'll get back to you when I have something more interesting to say.

bye
8th-Feb-2009 05:33 pm - Bolt
Bolt was great. It was much better than I thought it would be.

The film started with Bolt (voiced by John Travolta) as a puppy in a pet shop and he's picked up by a girl named Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus) and then five years later Penny is an actor for a TV show about her and Bolt who keeps on saving her in every episode of the show. Except the thing is Bolt doesn't know it's just a TV show because he is never allowed to leave the filming set and he thinks that Penny really is in danger. So when she disappears after a day on the set Bolt breaks out to find her. He meets Mittens the cat and Rhino the hamster. Yes you read it correctly, Rhino the hamster.

It was a very entertaining film, not just for children I think older people would enjoy it too and it should probably be watched in English because I really doubt it would be as funny in Swedish. You can't really translate jokes properly. A very short review but I don't wanna give away too much, it was very entertaining, not to exagerrated as some films might be. It wasn't too long and not too short, just about perfect and Bolt was soooo cute as a puppy. I definitely recommend it.

Otherwise things are fine. I finished half my exam yesterday, I only have the second question left which I'll do tomorrow. A friend is coming over tonight and we're gonna make pancakes and watch two horror movies "the orphanage" and "The strangers"  I love watching horror movies and commenting on how completely stupid the characters are.

I booked plane tickets today to Stockholm because on March 28th I am watching High School Musical at Göta Lejon with Cissi and Anneli. It is going to be so much fun I am really looking forward to it. The tickets were really cheap. Friday-Sunday to stockholm and back to Umeå for only 638kr. Probably as cheap as it is gonna get. It was the first time I've booked tickets on my own but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Hopefully I'll book tickets again later this summer. Some friends and I are planning on maybe going to Ireland for a week which would also be very cool.

That's about all I have to say, I am not sure when the next update is gonna be but knowing Emma it'll probably be pretty soon because she is the one who keeps reminding me to update.

Ta-ta

4th-Feb-2009 06:01 pm - Club NH
I have a confession to make....actually I have two.

1. I just watched High School Musical 3: Senior Year
Yes, I do like the HSM films, except this third one. It kind of sucked. The songs weren't as good. The only ones I liked in it were, Sharpay and Ryan.

2. I'm not gonna do Museologi anymore.
Well, I am going to finish this term because you can't apply for a new course before March. The reason I'm not doing it anymore is because it feels like it's not the right thing for me to study. So i'm either gonna jump on another program or just take some courses and see what I want to do. I've been thinking about it for a while I just hadn't made up my mind about it until recently. I'll still be staying in Umeå. I like it here, and I don't really want to move.

Nothing much has happened over the past few weeks.  At least notthing that's worth mentioning here. This week seems to be more fun than the previous few weeks. I've been a bit unsocial lately, but I'm gonna try and change that.

Tonight I'm going out to have a beer with some friends at this place on campus.
Tomorrow I'm going to the gym, I'll probably do Aerobics.
On Friday I'm going to the movies with a friend to watch Bolt.
On Saturday I'm gonna be making dinner with a friend
Sunday is just gonna be an ordinary studyday.

I'm gonna do some studying now before I go out. I'll probably write a review of Bolt sometime this weekend. Feel free to leave a comment or two...

Bye for now

16th-Jan-2009 06:59 am - Good news

Yesterday I got some really good news. It turns my two friends got the apartment they were standing in queue for which means I'm moving in with them at the end of April. It's going to be so much fun. I just need to start planning and, unpacking soon. I can't wait. Tonight's hopefully going be fun as well. I'm having some classmates over for a party. I'm a little nervous because the last time I had a party was in Namibia which was years ago. I've been up since five this morning, stupid thin walls. Anyway, at least now I have time to have breakfast, shower and at the moment I'm watching this film called "21" with the gorgeous Jim Sturgess about a group of teenagers counting cards in Las Vegas.

Have a good weekend and I'll write an update sometime next week.

11th-Jan-2009 07:21 pm - Jan. 11
I know I don't usually write long updates but today's gonna be an exception. I have a bit on my mind. School started on thursday and I now have next week off to write an exam which is due Friday. Friday night Elli and I are gonna go to this pub in town called The Pipes and on Saturday I'm planning on inviting a few of my classmates over for a party. If they're still up to it that is. I'm a bit nervous, my dad has a doctor's appointment tomorrow and it's nothing serious just a check up but I don't like hospitals. They always make me nervous even if I'm not the one there. I was going to start on my exam today but I realized that I quite obviously need litterature before I can start writing so I need to go to campus tomorrow and find an article and a book. So tonight I'll probably just sit by the laptop and watch TV. I had a bit of an argument with a friend yesterday and I feel guilty now cos I probably overreacted as always. That happens I suppose.

Part of my new years resolutions was to be less shy and try to talk to people more often but that's already going to hell cos I can't bring myself to talk to people I hardly know even if I really like them and want to get to know them. I'm so afraid of being completely ignored and rejected and humiliated so because of that fear I immediately assume that there's no use even trying cos the person probably has no interest in me. I don't really know what I'm so afraid of really. I'm never gonna get over that shyness if I don't try.

Anyway, this weekend's been quite nice. I had a friend over yesterday and we were working on this novel of ours, set in the star wars universe. We had this insane discussion trying to figure out how long it would take to get from one planet to another if the ship had a hyperspace drive. So in the end we ended up spending an hour on google trying to find a map of the Star Wars galaxy and what rims and regions the planets were in and so on. We didn't really figure much out. The same friend asked if I wanted to share an apartment with her and another friend of they get the apartmen they're standing in line for. It would be really nice to live in a proper apartment with a nice kitchen.

Other than that I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 1 and I'm stuck at this horrible boss in Wonderland, you know, Alice in Wonderland. The whole game is set on different Disney worlds and it's Sora, Donald and Goofy trying to defeat the Heartless and Sora trying to find his friends Kairi and Riku. It's a very cool game but at the moment I'm tired of being stuck in Wonderland. I wanna move on.

Has anyone else played it and know what to do?

Anyway, I don't know what else to say. Enjoy the rest of the evening and  I would be glad if you could leave a comment or to just to know who reads my blog.
